PERSONAL DATA PRIVACY AND PROCESSING POLICY

This privacy policy describes the personal data collected or generated (processed) when you use this mobile app to interact with ALYCE. It also explains how your personal data is used, shared and protected, the choices you have concerning your personal data, and how you can contact us.

 

Who is in charge of processing your personal data?

ALYCE is in charge of processing your personal data.

What personal data do we collect and when?

We ask you to provide some personal data in the context of a statistical study.

 

This personal data includes your:

• contact details, namely surname, first name, email address, phone number;

• user and account data, including your authentication links and unique user identifier;
• personal data, including your gender, home and main professional address, socio-professional category, age bracket;

We collect additional personal data to enable some specific functions on our Platform. For example, we request access to your phone location data to provide you your route and collect statistics on your mobility.  This personal data includes your:

• movement data from your device’s accelerometer;
• sensor data, geolocation data (GPS).

When you interact without our mobile app, some data is automatically collected from your device. It is used to guarantee optimum app operation or to reduce electricity consumption in some situations.

 

This data includes: the device identifier, call statuses, network access, storage and battery status data;

 

The tools we use to manage the personal data we collect

When you use our mobile app, we provide you the required information in a timely manner, or obtain your consent for certain uses. For example, we will request your consent to use your location or send you notifications. To do that, we will use the standard consent requests available on your device.

 

In many cases, your mobile device provides additional tools to allow you to control how your device collects or shares certain types of personal data. For example, your mobile device includes tools that let you manage how your location is shared. We inform you that disabling position tracking will prevent us from collecting your data for the study. 

 

Why and how we use your personal data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

• For the correct operation of the mobile app.
  If you use our mobile app, we will use your personal data to upload all the information we need to analyse and process your movements.  For example, if you follow a route after having enabled the mobile app, we will use the GPS coordinates provided by the mobile app to provide you with the history of your movements, the means of transport used, and data concerning the distance travelled or the speed.

 

If you contact our support (dpo@alyce.fr), we will use your data, such as your email address or your phone number to help you solve your problem or to answer your questions.

•  For research and analysis purposes
  We use the data about how you use our mobile app and our services to understand your behaviour and preferences.  For example, we can use the information about how you travel to understand the best way to organise and improve mobility where you live.

 

Protection and management of your personal data

Encryption and security: We use various technical and organisational security measures to guarantee the security of your personal data, in particular encryption techniques and authentication tools.

Transfers of your personal data to other countries: The personal data we collect (or process) for our Platform is stored in France.

Retention of your personal data: Your personal data will be kept for the duration of the study, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable legislation.

Your rights

You have the right to request: (i) access to your personal data; (ii) an electronic copy of your personal data (portability) and the forwarding of that data to another company; (iii) the correction of your personal data if incomplete or incorrect; or (iv) the erasure or limitation of your personal data in certain circumstances provided for by applicable legislation. These rights are not absolute. When you have given your consent to the processing of your personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at all times.

Changes to our data privacy policy

Legislation and practices change over time. If we decide to update our privacy policy, we will publish the changes on our app and will display them for you. If we materially change the way we process your personal data, we will send you a prior warning or, when required by law, will request your prior consent to apply the changes. We strongly recommend that you regularly re-read our Privacy Policy to check for any changes made to it. This Privacy Policy was last modified in October 2021.
